TO BE FILLED WITH THE GLORY OF GOD IS A LOFTY AND WONDERFUL REALITY. THE APOSTLE PAUL DECLARES IN 1ST CORINTHIANS 3:16,

1 Cor 3:16 (KJV) Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

HE FOLLOWS UP ON THIS GLORIOUS THEME IN THE 19TH VERSE OF THE 6TH CHAPTER WHERE HE STATES,

1 Cor 6:19 (KJV) What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

GOD HAS A CLAIM ON YOU AND HE WANTS YOU TO BE FULL OF HIS PRESENCE AND SPIRIT.

1. WHEN GOD FILLS YOUR HEART HE EMPTIES IT OF IT’S FORMER OCCUPANT.

1 John 1:9 (KJV) If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Luke 11:20 (KJV) But if I with the finger of God cast out devils, no doubt the kingdom of God is come upon you.

Luke 11:21 (KJV) When a strong man armed keepeth his palace, his goods are in peace:

Luke 11:22 (KJV) But when a stronger than he shall come upon him, and overcome him, he taketh from him all his armour wherein he trusted, and divideth his spoils.

1 Pet 3:22 (KJV) Who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him.

2. WHEN GOD FILLS YOUR HEART HE TAKES PERSONAL POSSESSION OF IT. YOU BELONG TO HIM.

1 Cor 6:19 (KJV) What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

1 Cor 6:20 (KJV) For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

3. WHEN GOD FILLS YOUR HEART HE REPLENISHES IT WITH THE GRACES AND DISPOSITIONS OF THE CHRISTIAN CHARACTER.

Gal 5:22 (KJV) But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

Gal 5:23 (KJV) Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

4. WHEN GOD FILLS YOUR HEART HE SENDS HIS HOLY SPIRIT TO DWELL WITHIN TO GIVE ANOINTING, POWER AND WISDOM.

Mat 3:11 (KJV) I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:

John 16:13 (KJV) Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will show you things to come.

5. WHEN GOD FILLS YOUR HEART HE LIFTS YOU UPWARD. HE ENABLES YOU TO RISE ABOVE YOUR TROUBLES. HE PUTS THE ENEMY UNDER YOUR FEET.

Psa 16:11 (KJV) Thou wilt show me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.
