PSALMS 91:1, 2, 15

Psa 91:1 (KJV) He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

Psa 91:2 (KJV) I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.

Psa 91:15 (KJV) He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.

One of the facts about our Christian life which we must never forget is that God is trustworthy . Always, in all circumstances and situations.... God is trustworthy! He is Jehovah - Shaddai- the all-sufficient and all powerful One; the Almighty.

A. In the presence of haunting sin, God’s love reaches to rescue.

1. He offers and provides forgiveness.

PSALMS 103:1-5

Psa 103:1 (KJV) A Psalm of David. Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.

Psa 103:2 (KJV) Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:

Psa 103:3 (KJV) Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;

Psa 103:4 (KJV) Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;

Psa 103:5 (KJV) Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's.

EPHESIANS 1:17

Eph 1:17 (KJV) That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:

1ST JOHN 1:9

1 John 1:9 (KJV) If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

2. He saves us from sin’s curse. (judgment and destruction)

PSALMS 27:1

ROMANS 10:9

2 PETER 3:9

B. In the face of lingering sickness and disease, we remember He is the lord who heals us. He is Jehovah - Rapha, the Lord that healeth.

1. Illness can be a discouraging curse, even to a believer. We must always be certain to face sickness with the calm assurance that we are in the hands of the Lord. We must not allow the spirit of faith to leave us when we are sick. That is one of the critical times in our life when faith is vital for our very existence.

ISAIAH 53:5

Isa 53:5 (KJV) But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

1ST PETER 2:24

1 Pet 2:24 (KJV) Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

HEBREWS 13:8

Heb 13:8 (KJV) Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

JAMES 5:13-16

James 5:13 (KJV) Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms.

James 5:14 (KJV) Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:

James 5:15 (KJV) And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.

James 5:16 (KJV) Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

2. Sickness often brings lonely hours which seem to intensify the pain. In order to keep sickness from becoming a tool in the hands of the devil, we must learn to pray in the power of the Spirit. Use the vehicle of communication God has given his children (the Holy Ghost) in order to retain your position of superiority over the enemy and his temptations. Do not allow doubt, fear and hopelessness to overwhelm you. Trust God !!

JAMES 1:17

James 1:17 (KJV) Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

MATTHEW 8:16

C. He is your safe, secure hiding place in a world which is troubled on every side. He is Jehovah - Shalom; He is your peace.

YOU MAY BE MOCKED FOR YOUR TRUST IN HIM.... KEEP ON TRUSTING.

People may laugh at your "old fashioned" Christianity ..... Keep on trusting.

You may appear "odd" because you care about holy things...... Keep on trusting.

You may not be invited to the party ....... Keep on trusting.

Your Christian witness may be a " wet blanket" ..... Keep on trusting.

You may be cursed, slandered, lied against, and hated ....... Keep on trusting.

1. He has the power to keep you safe from the attacks of the enemy who wants to destroy your hope and your life.

ISAIAH 43:1, 2

Isa 43:1 (KJV) But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.

Isa 43:2 (KJV) When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.

ISAIAH 59:19

Isa 59:19 (KJV) So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him.

2ND TIMOTHY 1:12

2 Tim 1:12 (KJV) For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.

2ND TIMOTHY 4:18

1ST PETER 5:7

JAMES 4:7

James 4:7 (KJV) Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

2. Don’t let your love for the Lord be weakened by the intimidating crowd of unbelievers who push against you every time you go out your door.

Remember He has saved you.. It is your name which He recorded in the book of life.

You are His child and He calls you by name.

You are one of those redeemed people for whom He will return and take to heaven.

Don’t expect others to love Him like you love Him unless they know Him like you know Him.

Don’t lose faith because those around you ( perhaps in your own family) do not love and serve the Lord.

PROVERBS 3:5

Prov 3:5 (KJV) Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
