INTRODUCTION:
We live in a generation of debauchery and perversion of enormous proportions. Every evening we are confronted with news stories of violence, crime, sexual perversion, and abuse. Our emotions teeter-totter from outrage to unbelief at the seeming callousness of men, women and young people in our communities and in our world.
There seems to be a spirit of anti-Christ and Godlessness unleashed upon humanity. Hate, viciousness, devil worship, witchcraft, homosexual and lesbian perversion, atheism, Eastern religions, false science, religious cults and many other similar satanically inspired groups are ripping the heart and soul from the human race.
Any civilized person, with common decency and morals, is appalled at the condition of our society. Man has wandered far from God and is floundering on a sea of death and depravity.
But, I have wonderful news! The same Jesus who came to save humanity over 2,000 years ago is the same Jesus who changes lives today! Jesus, who breaks the chains of sin and liberates the human heart. Jesus, who mercifully rescues the wounded soul and forgives the sin and wickedness. Jesus, who cares when others don't and loves when others won't.
Heb 13:8 (KJV) "Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever."
1. HE STILL SAVES!
A. ANYONE WHO COMES TO HIM.
2 Pet 3:9 (KJV) "The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance."
B. ANYONE WHO REPENTS OF SIN.
Isa 55:7 (KJV) "Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon."
Rom 10:9 (KJV) "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved."
1 John 1:9 (KJV) "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
C. ANYONE WHO RECEIVES HIM AS LORD AND SAVIOR.
John 3:16 (KJV) "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
Acts 4:12 (KJV) "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved."
(The song writer rightfully proclaims)
