HOW DO YOU HANDLE FEAR?

(Isa 43:1 KJV) But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.

(Isa 43:2 KJV) When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.

(Isa 43:3 KJV) For I am the LORD thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour: I gave Egypt for thy ransom, Ethiopia and Seba for thee.

(Mat 10:28 KJV) And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

(Mat 10:29 KJV) Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father.

(Mat 10:30 KJV) But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.

(Mat 10:31 KJV) Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows.

Fear is one of the most debilitating and effective tools of the enemy. He uses fear to stun the Christian into a sense of listlessness and hopelessness.

FEAR: OFTEN A PARALYZING TORMENT.

** Numbs our sensitivity to spiritual truths and dulls our sense of reason.

** Creates visions of defeat.

** Sets Christians against one another. Suspicion, deceit, distrust.

** Fear the loss of employment.

** Fear friendships will fail.

** Fear responsibilities.

** Fear strangers; darkness; animals; heights.

** Husbands and wives who are afraid their marriage will fail.

** Turns shadows into living creatures. (In the darkness, trees seemed to be alive when I was a child.)

** Causes "internal combustion." We tend to "blow up."

** Nurses a feeling of helpless resignation. (Oh, what’s the use?)

** Hinders and sometimes destroys our faith in God.

The Scriptures state in (1 John 4:18 KJV) There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.

The Lord wants us to know and trust His:

Love

Provision

Shelter

Power

Position before our Father.

Christ love, working in us will cause fear to go away. He will literally destroy the curse of fear in the believer’s life with the radiance and glory of His precious, redeeming love.

The songwriter said, "Turn you eyes upon Jesus – Look full in His wonderful face – and the things of earth will grow strangely dim – in the light of His glory and grace."

It is the Lord who:

Gives you a song in the night.

Lifts you up when you’ve been thrown down.

Feeds you in a barren place.

Pours living water into your thirsty soul.

Heals the hurt of the enemies arrows.

Walks through the valley with you.

Stands by you in your fight of faith.
