LONG HAIR, BIG TEETH AND MAJOR HALITOSIS

( Does this describe anybody you know? Be careful now ……. )

Friend; co-worker; family member; someone you don’t like very much. Well, you can relax, I don’t want you to say anything to get you in the Lions Den.

Hint, hint, hint. Did you get it? Lion’s Den.

TEXT

Daniel 6:20-23 (note 23b)

  1. Daniel was a teenager when Nebuchadnezzar conquered Jerusalem in 605 B.C.
  2. He was a very intelligent young man and was elevated to a position of political leadership.
  3. He served God faithfully and without compromise under the administration of three kings; Nebuchadnezzar, Belshazzer and Darius.
  4. Nebuchadnezzar …
  1. Belshazzar …
  1. Darius …

Consider these points:

  1. Daniel had personal success but stayed faithful to God.
  2. His personal testimony and prayer life influenced the king.
  3. His personal faith saved his life. Real lions, not imaginary.

We are often tempted to cry out, "It just isn’t fair," when we are subjected to ill treatment and threats of violence from our enemies.

Some people even give up and walk away from their faith in God.

What kind of lions growl in your ears, baring their sharp fangs as they threaten to tear you apart.

Open your spiritual eyes and see the angel of the Lord standing near (v22)

Don’t try to climb the wall, break down the door, or cry in the corner. You belong to the Lord and He will deliver you.
