POWER PACKED PENTECOSTALS PREVAIL
ACTS 1:8
(Remarks pertain to obedient, Holy Ghost filled people.)
They prevail in:
1. Personal testimony.
(1 Cor 2:1 KJV) And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God.
(1 Cor 2:2 KJV) For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.
(1 Cor 2:3 KJV) And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling.
(1 Cor 2:4 KJV) And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:
(1 Cor 2:5 KJV) That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.
(1 Cor 2:6 KJV) Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought:
(1 Cor 2:7 KJV) But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:
(1 Cor 2:8 KJV) Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
(1 Cor 2:9 KJV) But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
(1 Cor 2:10 KJV) But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.
(1 Cor 2:11 KJV) For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.
(1 Cor 2:12 KJV) Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
(1 Cor 2:13 KJV) Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
2. Prayer.
(Mat 21:21 KJV) Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.
(Mat 21:22 KJV) And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.
3. Perilous times.
(Phil 2:15 KJV) That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;
4. Perspective on life.
(Mark 8:34 KJV) And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
(Mark 8:35 KJV) For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it.
(Mark 8:36 KJV) For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?
(Mark 8:37 KJV) Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
(Mark 8:38 KJV) Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.
5. Authority over the enemy.
(Luke 10:17 KJV) And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name.
(Luke 10:18 KJV) And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.
(Luke 10:19 KJV) Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
(Luke 10:20 KJV) Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.
(James 4:7 KJV) Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
6. Power to be His children.
(John 1:12 KJV) But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
(John 1:13 KJV) Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
